Based on a preliminary survey conducted in the Bung Hatta Ward at the Military Hospital TK III Dr. Reksodiwiryo Padang, out of 162 pediatric patients, approximately 70% showed symptoms of hospitalization stress. One approach that can help minimize stress in hospitalized children is the implementation of Family Centered Care (FCC). The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the implementation of Family Centered Care and the level of hospitalization stress in children in the Bung Hatta Ward of the Military Hospital TK III Dr. Reksodiwiryo Padang.This research was conducted in the Bung Hatta Ward of the Military Hospital TK III Dr. Reksodiwiryo Padang from March to June 2025. The population over the past three months was 162 patients, and the sample consisted of 30 respondents, selected using accidental sampling technique. The data obtained were analyzed using univariate analysis (frequency distribution) and bivariate analysis with the Chi-Square statistical test.The univariate results showed that 56.6% of children experienced severe hospitalization stress and 60% of respondents reported a low level of Family Centered Care implementation. Based on the statistical test, there was a significant relationship between the implementation of Family Centered Care and the level of hospitalization stress in children, with a p-value of 0.00 (p < 0.05). It can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between the implementation of Family Centered Care and the level of hospitalization stress in children in the Bung Hatta Ward at the Military Hospital TK III Dr. Reksodiwiryo Padang. It is recommended that this study serve as a basis for hospital policy in implementing Family Centered Care in pediatric wards to prevent hospitalization stress in children.
